This is my work for the amazing Collaboration “Egypt Land of Mystery” hosted by Ghada Elsehemy.
My inspiration to create this wedding cake was the Goddess Isis.
Isis was a goddess of Egyptian mythology. She was friend of the slaves, fishermen, craftsmen and the oppressed.
Goddess of fertility and motherhood. She was revered as the ideal mother and wife model.
Also known as the goddess of simplicity, protector of the dead and goddess of children.
Seven layer wedding cake, decorated with gold jewels, allusive to the sun and nature.
Manual painting, representing the goddess Isis and Egyptian hieroglyphics.
The top of the cake is decorated with the symbol representing the goddess Isis ( horns of a cow, with the solar disk inscribed between them).
This cake has a special feature. On the side of the cake two large wings appear, each 35cm size, which represent the large wings of the goddess.
Isis is represented with large outstretched wings, symbol of protection against evil.
I hope you enjoy! ;)
