This is “Everyone’s Story Matters”, an international collaboration in cake celebrating " International Literacy Day" in support of fund raising for ALS Research. A group of cake artists, from around the world, decided to honour all of the stories that matter to us, and to our children.

My chosen story was Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.

One of the classic Arabian tales of all. A story that captivated me as a child. It is a thrilling plot that will fascinate you. It is a story about a poor woodcutter who discovers the secret hideout of robbers which has a password. A fantastic fable that every age group would enjoy reading and narrating.
Presenting the lead characters Ali Baba, a poor woodcutter awe struck with gold. A hidden cave door that opens with a secret password. An iconic scene, thieves hidden in the oil containers. Which is depicted in cake carved oil pot. Hidden killer thief ready to shed blood and loot.

This year we are raising money for ALS Research, a disease that is 100% fatal. Over 5000 people are diagnosed with ALS every year, and life expectancy is 2-5 years.
