This is a mermaid modeled in modeling chocolate, sitting on a rock which I submerged in gummy gelatin for the water. The hole thing sits on a bed of Rice Krispies treats. The shells are made of fondant and the rock was covered in fondant. The base of the mold I used to shape the gummy was lined in candy melts.

If you look, you can see her tail fin through the gelatin.
