Did you know 1 in 68 is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder? Now you do. Welcome to Sugar Art for Autism 2017, a group of confectionary artists from around the world who have come together to honour the 1 in 68 and do our part to raise awareness during this Autism Awareness Month.

I present to you my humble contribution to this beautiful collaboration.
First and foremost, I would like to thank Dina and Suzy for inviting me to be apart of such a heartfelt collaboration.
I chose a beautiful work of art, by Maire Shortt. It goes without saying that her work inspires me.
My idea was to create something graceful, exuding poise and charm, much like Maire Shortt’s beautiful pieces. I fell in love with the delicacy and flow of colours. It evoked a sense of calmness, ease and sparkle within me.
I wanted to showcase my inspiration in a subtle manner with emphasis on the muted colours and texture, with tiny bursts of the bolder colours.
