81st birthday cake for a lady whose birthday is on St. Patrick’s day. The request was for something St. Patrick’s Day but not too St. Patrick’s Day….lol.

I found an image of a green ombre buttercream cake with roses that I really liked so suggested something like it as a starting point. Unfortunately I can’t read the entire watermark to give credit to whoever made the cake I used as inspiration.

Floral cakes are not my strong point. I ended up making way more roses than I needed namely to get a color combo that worked. I added shamrocks and gold buds for the St Patrick’s Day touch. In the end I was really happy with it and didn’t want to part with it. I got a big hug when I delivered it which was very nice.
