I chose a punk for the collaboration because punk was more than just a fashion choice, it was a lifestyle that started in the seventies. To quote David Byrne, “ Punk was defined by an attitude rather than a musical style. ”

I tried to show some of that attitude, as well as some of the style, with my piece.

She’s 40cm tall from base to the top of her hair spike. She’s polystyrene cake dummies inside and sugar paste on the outside – even her jewellery – all hand made by me!
I didn’t quite finish all the detail I wanted to do, and if its “allowed” I will be adding a few things to her – a couple of tattoos and some jewellery…
