Meet Gytha – my contribution to the wonderful Carnival Cakers Collaboration. I wanted to capture the fun behind the masks of the Venice Carnival in this piece. I get the impression that she is more accustomed to dancing on the tables of taverns than gliding around a ballroom…and she most certainly has a little flask of something tucked into her knicker elastic!

Gytha was sculpted from the fabulous Vera Miklas modelling chocolate. It was my first time working with it and I’m a convert. Beautiful stuff!
