40th Cake for my son whose an actor, and has done several Shakespeare productions in school, uni and after that in Cape Town. He no longer acts, but runs a successful voice training business and has never lost his love for Shakespeare, with Hamlet being his favourite.
Hand painted sponge cake, filled with whipped white chocolate buttercream , then covered in fondant, and Handpainted Shakespeare portrait, inspired by 17th century artist, Gerard Soest.
Skull I modelled with RKT and my homemade modelling chocolate and brushed on detail.
It was presented at a family and friends dinner on his birthday. He loved it and has kept Skull and painting (carefully peeled off)

It’s amazing Calli. I love the fact that the painting has been peeled off. I would definitely do the same if I was ever presented with such a fabulous cake xx
