Happy New Year everyone! Geoffrey was a giant gingerbread man cake made for this year’s holidays.
As it was requested by my children, they rejected the traditional fruit cake interior in favour of a more contemporary classic – chocolate fudge, salted caramel and sprinkles! He was finished off with liquorice allsort buttons (made from fondant), sugar bow tie, candy cane walking stik, chocolate ‘cream’ icing, sprinkles and a gum paste cherry.
He was all cake with the exception of his arms which were made with modelling chocolate. My youngest (another ginger!) insisted on getting a photo with the cake, but helps give him a little scale so I thought I’d share it. :)
