Well there was no other theme than Nemo as it’s currently Eliza’s favorite – so of course Nanny had to create it in cake form for her 2nd Birthday…Night Garden was sooooo last year haha! This one was a chocolate orange cake through and through – and I didn’t bother with fondant – simply covered the cake in white chocolate (orange flavour of course) and then airbrushed it in stunning ocean coral colours. The fish, shells and coral were all made from a fondant and modelling chocolate mix and either coloured with gel paste or dusted with colours.

Had an absolute blast making this – and had been waiting for ages for just the oportunity so relished every moment – and luckily Eliza and her little friends (and big friends – us) enjoyed the cake too!

Ten minutes into the eating of the cake Eliza asked where Dory was…all eyes swiveled toward little Lola…the only evidence Dory had ever been near her was the ring of blue around her mouth – very sweet :)
