This is my piece on the Music Around the World – Cake Notes collaboration.
My inspiration was the russian classical music, in particular way " Swan Lake", a ballet composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, it is now one of the most popular of all ballets. The scenario, initially was fashioned from russian folk tales and tells the story of Odette, a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer’s curse. I chose this teame becouse music of this ballet allows you to experience a range of incredibly strong, sometimes overwhelming emotions, has progression, many layers and personalities, varying ebbs and flows. There are a million ways to interpret this music, and everyone can make it relevant to their own experiences and lives. It enhances life – an aural experience that becomes a part of you, incites latent emotions and memories, swells in your chest, inspires speculation, and makes your physical sensations much more acute.
