I was delighted to be asked to take part in this collaboration. A group of around 30 cakers from Ireland were asked by http://ark.ie/ in Dublin to create pieces from some of their past shows and events to celebrate their 21st birthday. I chose Manxmouse, a production put on by Theatergroep Kwatta. I had so much fun doing this cake. I wanted to capture the soft fluffy look of the original that they used in the play and because The Ark is a cultural centre for children I wanted the little birthday cake to look like kids had made it. I fell in love with him and didn’t want to part with him but It was a huge success with the pieces on display over the course of three days in The Ark.
