Here is my first wedding cake,I made for my friends son and his bride to be,I was so nervous about doing this cake and when my friend first asked me I said “oh no I don’t think I’m ready to make such a special cake just yet” I was also suppose to be away on holiday the same week so had that as an excuse not to take the challenge but with only 6 weeks until the wedding date I knew she would struggle to find anyone to make her a cake …… So really I couldn’t say no could I! The design was left up to me other than she wanted a top hat in mint green mad hatter style and some flowers and the rest she said “it’s up to you”
I’m pleased to say they were absolutely over the moon with what I had made ….quite a few tears were being exchanged and by me too as the response I received was just beautiful.
I learned quite a few things making this cake and one of those things was to have a little more faith in myself.
