This weekends birthday cake for a little boy turning 3. They wanted spider-man to have some dimension not just be flat on the cake and modeling is not my thing so I tried to do a 2 dimensional effect for the first time, pretty happy with the results as it was a little different. Making these types of cakes and staying original is so hard especially when the customer wants all the things that make it not original,lol. I used royal icing to pipe the webs but unfortunately I broke the first one that was on the cake right before delivery, lucky for me I had a back up just in case.
