It was my niece’s birthday a few weeks before my daughter’s but I posted my lil monkey’s cake first then totally forgot to post my niece’s…what a bad Aunt I am, lol.

Actually, I’ve been dealing with some health issues which hopefully will turn out not to be anything serious, but at this time still needs a bunch of testing to figure out, so haven’t really had a chance to post my last two cakes.

So finally I thought I should before I really forget. =P

This design was inspired by a 3 tier Sugar Ruffles design that my sis-in-law found on Pinterest. I used a different technique for the ruffles than on the original which Dina of miettes helped guide me on back when I did my Prada-Inspired Red Carpet collab cake. But the colours and white butterflies were totally a take on the original. I forgot to add the butterflies before I took the beauty shots, then ran out of time and had to rush to the party, so only have cell pics at the venue with the butterflies on.

I don’t get to do pastels or traditional ruffles often so I thoroughly enjoyed this one!
