I have missed my caking family here at Cakes Decor! Sorry for all the wonderful creations I haven’t commented on or liked……I will try and catch up a little! Here is a cake I made at the weekend….. I think this cake is fairly self explanatory….the theme was chosen by a young man named Zac who was celebrating his 18th birthday, the rest was up to me. I have never actually watched an episode of this famous series, but after doing some research I knew exactly the design I wanted to create. The logo is hand drawn and all the swords and the Kings crown are handmade from icing. I textured the cut pieces on the base tier to resemble both armour and dragon scales. The gold braid around the middle tier is a stylised version of Daenerys braided hair. The top tier was faux so he could keep it as a memory of his special celebration. Winter is coming…it certainly is here …as I had to brave the chilly Melbourne winter to do my airbrushing outside!
I finished the details with edible gold lustre and was very happy how well this cake turned out…are you a GOT fan?
