I created this Tiffany lamp for the National Capital Area Cake show back in April. You can’t see in the pictures but after I photographed it and stored it until the show the piece had some issues. The lamp shade warped and when I went to fix it, it cracked.
I was still fortunate enough to get 3rd place for this piece. I didn’t post it until now because i was not sure if I was going to redo it for another show.
The piece is completely made of Simi Cakes and Confections Isomalt. I pulled and shaped all the pieces that make up the stained glass. The base of the lamp is poured into a mold created from a candle stick holder. I used a floral light to give the impression the lamp is turned on.
I hope you like it.
It is beautiful! So sorry you had issues with it before the show!
