In an early celebration of World Doll Day, 19 sugar artists from all over the world came together to showcase dolls from different countries and to spread a universal message of love and happiness. We are honored to have been featured exclusively in Party Cakes magazine, issue 27.
This is my little Krakowianka sugar doll. Krakowianka is a female of any age, dressed in Kraków’s regional traditional folklore costume. Kraków also Cracow or Krakow is a city in southern Poland. There are many patterns and vibrant colour variations for this costume, including an intricate beaded vest, flowing flower patterned skirt, lace up boots and a head piece made from artificial flowers, with colourful ribbons cascading down her back.
My Krakowianka is sitting on a cake decorated in colours of the Polish flag.
