I made this cake for an amazing couple last year. Both of them worked for the same airlines in the Middle East. The bride originates from Somerset West, South Africa and the groom is from Slovenia. They got married in a beautiful valley just outside Robertson in the Western Cape. They sent me photos of themselves beforehand in their uniforms and my son, Robert, made these gorgeous toppers of them. The cake itself was inspired by Sharon Wee Creations “world” cake and she was kind enough to answer my email and give me a few tips on the middle tier.

The cake was transported for over 2 hours in the searing heat but thank goodness for aircon in cars!
