I created this cake for Satin Ice to show at the Atlantic Bakery Expo on Sunday. I wanted to use spring colors and do something soft and romantic. I also knew I wanted to do a cake featuring hydrangea. I added the bottom tier as an afterthought because I felt like the cake was unbalances. I used a simple pleated pattern with a marbled fondant incorporating the peach and blue hues.
