Roy and Myra married on March 2, 1946. Their daughter Val organised the most wonderful surprise celebration for their 70th wedding anniversary. She requested a 3 tiered cake in a semi naked style with sugar and real flowers and a sugar version of her mum and dad on their wedding day. Roy wore a sailors suit proudly while Myra had a beautiful white flowing gown and long veil. Val asked that the veil be draped around Myra over the top tier. I followed the theme of the lace veil throughout each tier.

I was so honoured to make this for such a special rare event of 70 years of marriage. Makes me smile everytime I think about it :)
