This was my contribution to the the collaboration celebrating the final episode of Downtown Abbey. The fashions in the show were the inspiration for many of us. As I scanned the images, the beading on this gown caught my eye. It was from a fashion show segment in season 5. I was planning to use primarily dragees, but switched to a flat piping tip to give it more texture. I sculpted the pleated skirt with my sugar shapers. The belt was created with a mold I made from an antique brooch that had belonged to my mother-in -law. I used a crimper on the top tier and made a gelatin brooch for shine and depth.
