This cake was a cake several weeks in the making, the cake was inspired by the wedding venue, a lighthouse, the blue stripes were taken from the bridal linens. The florals were inspired by the floral bouquets in the brides mood board, which featured ocres, lemons, vibrant yellows, whites and bright greens.

I really enjoyed making this cake, although it was probably one of the most challenging wedding cakes I have made to date. I learned a lot making this cake and I am looking forward to many more floral wedding cakes in the months to come!
