Happy 7th Birthday, Scientist Sophia!

Now that I’m almost into my 4th year of trading, it’s lovely to have some repeat customers – I love working for this particular customer, for the last three years I’ve made a cake topper for her daughter Sophia’s birthday. So far, we’ve had “Swashbuckler Sophia”, “Gryffindor Sophia”, and this year she wanted to be depicted as “Scientist Sophia”, complete with lab coat, safety goggles and gloves, and bubbling test tube!

Her whole party was apparently science-themed (run by Sublime Science’s York franchise), with the promise of experiments and green slime a-plenty – sounded like fun! I was thrilled with this theme, so great to see children being enthused by science. Hey, at the end of the day, good baking is about science too!
