Made this cake for my husband’s birthday last year – needless to say, he has a monster of a veggie patch at the back of our garden and the veggies on his cake represented some of the ones in his veggie patch. It was a huge hit and my granddaughter tried to pluck the carrots out of the cake but was concerned about the “soil” on them – just chocolate cake crumbs! Had to convince her it was fine to eat it!
