This is one of two cakes I decorated for our Christmas family gatherings. (other is my poinsettia plant cake) Both completed in two days before Christmas. Not sure what I was thinking – so much work!

This cake is all handmade except for the glass globe and battery lamp light inside.
Hand painted (free hand) winter city scene with edible paints. The tree, bench and present inside the globe are gumpaste. Vanilla spice cake and buttercream icing.
