I am so excited to be a part of my very first collaboration and so thankful to the people at Cake Page Circle for allowing me to be a part of it.
This design was inspired by the song, “Mary Did You Know?”
I wanted to keep the design clean and simple. At first, I actually make the fondant strips at the base of the cake in ombre shade of gray but I didn’t like the way it turned out. I took it apart and reworked the cake in all white.
The base tier represents Mary’s trip to Bethlehem.
The middle tier represents the birth of Christ in a manger.
The top tier the cross represents the death of Christ on the cross.
The three red roses represents the Blood of Christ and the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The bow on the top of the cake represents the gift of salvation God offers each of us through his son Jesus.
Thank you Cakes Decor for giving us a place to share our work.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
