2-layer 8-inch round chocolate devils food cake frosted in blue BC icing. I piped pink rose form from buttercream and smoothed with small angle spatula dipped in hot water and shake off excess. I used the same technique as I added darker pink, then smooth, and white, then smooth. I did have to go back and add some more areas of dark pink and white where it was needed, and repeated the technique. Any area’s that have water drips, I just get the corners of a paper towel to touch those areas lightly to absorb the moisture.
I then piped green leaves with #12 tip and darker green for center stem.. smoothed slightly.
My first of this pattern, and I had been wanting to do for some time. I had the opportunity when an 18th birthday party girl wanted this design. Thanks to all my cake friends on cakes decor, I enjoy you so much
