For the birthday girl who LOOOOVES to shop, with all her best friends…….Gucci, Chanel and Chloe! The Chloe box is Italian Cream Cake with Cream Cheese/Toasted Coconut/Pecan filling, with hand-painted Chloe logo. The Gucci shopping bag is Red Velvet Cake with White Chocolate buttercream filling & gumpaste decor. The Chanel purse is a Dark Chocolate cake with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough filling. It’s glazed with a mixture of corn syrup & Everclear, which worked SO beautifully—-dried completely without being sticky & held it’s shine like patent leather!

Funny story about the purse. When I delivered the cake, I was standing talking to my client who had ordered it for her friend. Suddenly, from behind me, an arm reaches around and a little finger pokes RIGHT INTO THE PURSE! Eeeeekk!! I turned to see a boy about 8 years old as his mom & I hollered ‘NO!’ at about the same time. He said ‘why, what’s wrong?’ His mom said, ’That’s a cake! You can’t touch it!’ He totally argued: ‘No way, that’s not a cake. That can’t be a cake!’ We both told him it was, & then he said ‘well, if that’s really a cake, then why is it so squishy?’ And I was thinking ’isn’t cake ALWAYS squishy? What’s he been eating?’ LOL! Fortunately, I was able to smooth the dent out almost completely.
