I stepped right out my comfort zone with this one, but hey, that’s how we learn & grow right? taking on challenges; first time entering a Sculptured Portrait, First time entering Decorative Exhibit, The largest cocoa butter on pastillage painting so far (23″ × 23″) and excited to say was awarded my first GOLD at Cakes International for an independent exhibit. IT was a fabulous weekend, saw so many incredible creations, with some of their amazing decorators and so many of them here on Cakes Decor!!
Tyrion is one the of Characters from Games of Thrones, played by Peter Dinklage. my favourite character in the series and I’ve seen all five!! I’m a huge fan of the show!!
He has an internal armature and built up with rice crispie treats and my own home made modelling chocolate. i hand made (in modelling chocolate) the brass lions on front and shoulders and landed up doing quite a few before I got them right.
Here are other views with an added one of work in progress. he does look a bit weird without his shoulders and arms, but it was at a stage I just got all the RKT shaped and covered and started adding the layers.
Khaleesi and her baby dragon was on the back, she is called Queen of Dragons. then the three eyed crow is the messenger. all hand painted.
I so look forwards to seeing more cakers and bakers and the next shows as I am already booked in to exhibit in 2016 at London (April), Birmingham (March & November)…. see you there, all that can go :)
