Aaranya received his first haircut and there was much to celebrate!

The cake was commissioned for his ‘Mundan ceremony’; a Hindu ritual where the child’s hair from birth ( associated with undesirable traits from past lives) are shaved off to signify freedom from the past and a fresh start into his new life!

I was thrilled to get a chance to work on the minimalist approach and the ‘less is more’ design but realized as I worked how MUCH effort is involved in keeping a cake looking neat and simple 😜
It is , however, the smiles and happiness these cakes bring about that makes it totally worth it!
