Well, I have to say, I absolutely loved making this cake for Sha! There were many whatsapp messages, emails and phone calls between myself and her husband discussing the details of her cake. The cake itself is based on cake artist Sarah Jones’s design but the colouration of this cake is based on the the gorgeous figurine I bought at a local shop in Somerset West, Calypso. I walked our shopping Mall for at least an hour without success and in desperation decided to go to a gift shop just down the road from me (will definitely go there again – they have amazing goodies!). You will also notice one green four leafed clover on the cake – look carefully, it is there amongst a few purple ones – reason for this, you may ask, well Sha’s maiden name was “Ireland” and her husband thought it would be a great idea to put one or two 4 leafed clovers on the cake for her – hmm, I like this little subtle touch! This cake is by far one of my most favourite cakes to date! I hope you enjoy looking at the pics as much as I enjoyed creating it – quite sad to see it go, but my pics will be my memory of it
