I was SOOOO excited when a wedding couple told me they wanted a PINK ombre pleated wedding cake, I was sent lots of pictures for inspiration and decided to be bold and offer up a new interpretation of the popular design. I was even more thrilled when they agreed to go with the flow!!

So I created this modern pleat, spiraling around the cake. I also went with tall tiers and inverted the colors going from light, to dark and back to light. They wanted to keep the look modern and focus on the pleating effect so they opted to not include any flowers…I was a bit dubious at first but…once I added the ribbon, it completed the look perfectly.
