I was lucky enough to be part of the Spirited Away collaboration here in Ireland, and the collaboration was exhibited in the Lighthouse Cinema for Culture night…we even had a visit from the Japanese Cultural Attache!
I chose Princess Mononoke for a couple of reasons, I love animals and I love making cakes, so an animal cake is a great way to indulge both of these loves. Also, I love the story too, come on, a girl that rides around on an amazing giant white wolf, communing with the forest spirits and setting the world to rights….she is living the dream! Really enjoyed getting to make a cake in this style, and this fabulous collaboration has given me the opportunity to try out a lot of new techniques and styles, delighted to be a part of t all.
