Sugar peony, hand-painted flowers and ruffles for Amy’s 21st birthday. The hand-painting was inspired by a design in Natasha Collins beautiful book, The Painted Cake and this was my first time making ruffles.
Underneath the fondant was a lemon cake with limoncello buttercream and white chocolate ganache for the top layer and pink champagne cake with pink champagne buttercream and white chocolate ganache too. It traveled 300 miles to its destination, and thankfully arrived intact!
