Hello! I was asked to make a cake for a school raffle by the boys headteacher. And crikey that woman has persuasive powers I could do with. She’s so utterly nice it’s impossible to say no. So I had free reign and have always wanted to have a go at a book cake, I really like them.
I thought this would be popular with the children and the parents, it was a firm favourite in our house, and we still say “love you to the moon and back” at night.
I spent far too long over the board as I thought I’d try the quilting thing, and just winged it with a ruler and my eye. As a consequence I bought an impression mat when I saw one on sale as it was not as easy as I imagined….
Thanks for looking!
