“Prescription for Success” for a new pharmacy school grad!
Her school was Florida A&M University, so I incorporated the school colors, orange and green, into the design. The cake is a rich vanilla, with vanilla buttercream.
For the pills, I hand-cut the round white ones out of fondant, but for the pink and white capsules, I split a Good N’ Plenty candy down the middle and glued together with piping gel, and the smaller colors pills are simply fruit Tic Tacs. :) My husband said I was “cheating” but the shapes were too perfect NOT to use! Haha :)
I wrote on the prescription “pad” using edible markers, and the pill bottle and cap are fondant. I finally tried out a homemade shiny “glaze” using corn syrup and vodka and it worked perfectly, but the photo doesn’t really show it too well (I glazed the bottle and cap). Thanks for looking!
