I made this cake for a gorgeous little baby boy for his Christening tomorrow. It was a lot of work and trying to figure out how to get vertical/even stripes on the balloon as a very tricky matter that took about 5 hours to get right but finally got it! The balloon is a polystyrene ball. This cake was 27" tall and trying to get it into the customer’s car was tricky to say the least but we did it and he travelled home and delivered it safely to his wife (longest hour of my life waiting to hear good news) I loved working on this and it took a long time but it truly was a labour of love and it broke my heart a little bit having to let it go this morning.
