Have you seen the September issue of Cake Masters magazine?
A group of cake and cookie artists passionate about Royal Icing collaborated to produce pieces inspired by Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. Our aim was to demonstrate the contemporary use of Royal Icing for all skill levels, and maintain that it is still the most versatile form of sugarcraft. We hope you enjoy looking at the Royal Icing art work produced and try some of the techniques used. See pages 76 to 81 of this month’s Cake Masters magazine for full details!
I am very proud to have been involved in this lovely collaboration of contemporary Royal Icing work along with KriKri, SifBeth, ClearlyCake, Jen’s Just Desserts, ButterWinks, Honeycat Cookies, Sugar Room and The Cake Artist! Special thanks to Royal Icing legend and Master, Eddie Spence MBE for piping our project header logo too. So here is my finished piece…xxx ps EXTRA SPECIAL THANKS to Jen Rolfe for the beautiful photos of my cake!
