This was my first opportunity to create a same-sex wedding cake since the Supreme Court decision. I have some more coming up, but this is the first one. My client actually designed the cake himself, & I just brought his vision to life. They had a beautiful ceremony aboard a boat while cruising our lovely Lake Travis.

The entire cake is red velvet with white chocolate buttercream icing inside & out. I am SO not a buttercream girl, so I am thrilled with my sharp corners on my first ever square buttercream cake. Not going to lie—-it took more than one try! LOL! The bow & ribbons are gumpaste.
