I applied details of gum paste, piping gel and gelatine on this cake, which is inspired by ruche effects on fabrics, distressed painting and the micro world of butterfly wings. This combination of vintage colors made me decide to take a photo of the cake with my little girl on the background to minimize a “heavy” look. She was not in the mood of being serious for this shooting, making fun all the time but mother finally found it a lovely setting for the cake photo!
