Absolutely adored making this cake. This was a very last minute design idea, for a customer who requested some Thing vintage, with buttons/birds/bows/bunting in pale colours/pinks. I think the dark brown ‘string’ really sets this cake off, and the colds add to the vintage feel. But keeping it fun and cute at the same time. Each tier had a depth of 4 1/2", and both were vanilla sponge.
