My 14yr old great-niece was spending the day with me to do some art work for her room but when I went to pick her up I realized that today was her mom’s birthday. I gave her the option to do a cake for her mom and she jumped at the chance. We didn’t have much time because she overslept so we rushed home to put something together. I came up with the design and we got to work. I did the measuring but she did all the mixing. I showed her the tutorial for the flowes by The Violet Cake Shop and she made them with almost no help from me. Cake is chocolate filled with caramel and peanut butter frosted with dark/milk chocolate ganache. Don’t know who was happier the mom or the daughter.

Oh what a sweet sentiment and beautiful gesture! Love what your great-niece did with the petals and these colours are adorable! I love how the chocolate pops the vibrant colours. I bet the mom was delighted! =D
