The bride was having a wedding with a woodland feel, with lots of beautiful flowers, all in shades of purple and white, with a bit of a rustic feel. The bridesmaid actually designed the cake as she was buying it as a gift for the bride and groom. The sugar flowers (including roses, peonies, lisianthus and sweet peas) took ages to make, as did the personalised cake topper, but it was well worth it to see the reactions that the cake got.
