You can learn the techniques used to make this cake which walks you through the split tier paneling technique I often use, how to cleanly tile your cake as well as how to come up with your own patterns. Also included with the class materials is a downloadable step by step tutorial for my signature stylized lotus flower featured on this design. This design was inspired by a pattern I’d seen on a bed spread in a home decor magazine. I chose the grey used here based on current trends in home decor as well. It helps to balance the bright colours and the overall composition of the cake, and gives the cake a modern vibe.
