My best friend Angela has survived breast and brain cancer. That blows me away every day, what an amazing person she is to tackle such a monster and beat it down. I always used to say to her that Birthdays are special no matter what age because it means another year stronger, wiser and richer with experience. She has never forgotten that and says it is the main reason she celebrates birthdays now because at one stage she was not going to see another birthday.

For her birthday this year I made her a Crate of Angels – special delivery. Her angels are those who are dear to her and have passed away in recent years, but watch over and protect her. I included her dog Ricky, bird Serafina and grandma’s slippers because each of these souls have taught her about strength, facing fears and making the most of each day. Angela loved her crate of angels and said she couldn’t wait to open the crate to get to the vegan, gluten free red velvet cake with vegan cream cheese filling. I am so happy I was able to make her smile x
