Teddy bear in a bowl

Teddy bear in a bowl

Hi everyone! Hope you are all well!
I really enjoyed making this one……..
Ive been dying to try some new techniques and my friend told me I could do what I wanted for her daughters 13th! So, I made my first gerberas and anemones, ive always wanted to do pink and grey…love them together. And I promised her daughter a teddy keepsake, so decided to try a glass bowl separator.

The teddy bear is made from Fimo polymer clay, so it could be kept indefinatley. Bottom tier is vanilla butter cake with white choc ganache and strawberry jam. Top tier is choc fudge cake with dark choc ganache……all covered with fondant.

I also tried my hand at a patchwork board, some lace piping and brush embroidery.
Thanks to my lovely hubby again for great lighting and photography, hes getting pretty good. It was difficult to photograph the glass bowl properly ;-)
Hope you like it!

What a gorgeous cake! I love the color combination! How nice that you were given free reign on the design and were able to do so many new techniques and flowers!
