To say I was honoured and overjoyed to be invited to my first cake collaboration is an understatement!
When Louise from Alana Lilly chocolates and cakes asked me to join in making a cake for the 75th Anniversary of Pinocchio I jumped at the chance! It has been an absolute pleasure working with the 12 other artists who have been so wonderfully supportive, helpful and most of all fun!
For my piece I chose the scene with Monstro the whale, I wanted the opportunity of creating characters with real expression, not just a smile. I also wanted to hide a couple of Disney Easter eggs on my piece for an extra element of fun; there are five for you to find!
If you’re wondering how big Monstro is the board is 22″ × 28″, as usual all models were completely hand sculpted.
I think Pinocchio has just become my most favourite figure ever! Please do head on over and check out the other pieces
