My nephew is studying game design at Uni and the aim was to create a surpize cake that he would love. Happily he did and fully appreciated why Mario was the subject. It is a hugely successful character that has stood the test of time and the industry strives to come up with another character to equal his success.

The Kart and Mario are rice cereal treats. Only the arms, legs and hat were made solely from gumpaste.

Gluten free vanilla sponge layered with raspberry jam and buttercream and wrapped in milk choc ganache before being finished off with sugarpaste
