I was thrilled to be included among 44 talented cake artists involved in the “Elegant Indian Fashion” cake collaboration.
In my inspiration picture, I loved the combination of deep rich colours, the curves, straight lines and embroidered detail. I wanted those elements to be evident in the final design. I also wanted the design to remain asymmetrical yet balanced.
A double-barrell vase shaped bottom tier, with a 4” top tier, covered with a regal crimson shade of fondant.
Overlaid with translucent pearlised gelatin layers, to capture the essence of a sheer fabric.
Trimmed with navy wafer paper. Gold piped “embroidered” embellishments.
Custom design topper gilt with edible gold leaf.
Design enriched with small gel diamonties and larger isomalt gems.
Presented on a tailor-made stand.
